We all have things that we would like to change about our lives. I am sure the reason you stumbled upon this site in the first place is because you are searching for something more out of life. When I coach people, I help them to embrace change so that they can transform their lives inside and out. I see so many people who are just existing. They are going through life as if they have no choices and are trapped in a life that will never be what they want. In my experience, I have learned that life can… Read more.
Life is a matter of focus. What you focus on grows, whether you like it or not. I say whether you like it or not intentionally, because sometimes we focus on things we don’t want, and guess what we get even more of? You got it, yuck. I re-learned this first hand again this morning. Launching InspireMeToday.com is truly like stepping off a ledge. I know this project is important to me and when people find the site, it will be important to them as well. However, during the in between time when the cash is flowing out rather than… Read more.
I’m writing this on Friday, April 18th, while packing for our honeymoon. On April 6th, my sweetheart, Darryl and I got married on the one-year anniversary of our first date. Many of you have asked for details and photos so I thought I’d make this easy and post this here for you. Darryl and I married outside on the deck of our home in Boulder, Colorado, surrounded by our family. It was a very small, intimate wedding. In the course of the 30-minute celebration we experienced sunshine, warm breezes, a light sprinkle, strong gusts of wind and yes, even snow. … Read more.
As you’ll notice, I’ve written so few blog posts so far and I want to explain why. I LOVE to write. However, I had this little voice in the back of my head telling me that I had an image to uphold, wanted to retain privacy, etc, and that I couldn’t write whatever I wanted to write. Well, you’ll be happy to know that I let go of that belief this past week. What you’ll now get in this blog is what I’m really going through, the ups, the downs, how the business is growing, in other words, the real… Read more.
Throughout my teaching career, I constantly encouraged young people to put their best efforts into school-related endeavors. When teaching adult canoeing classes, I found myself working hard to motivate reluctant paddlers to “push the envelope”, within their skill levels, of course, when negotiating rapids on a river. Whether male or female, persons of any age can benefit from heart-felt support when trying to “raise the bar” to reach a goal in any area. Although never one of those “rah rah girls” in high school or college, I’ve become an enthusiastic cheerleader in life-no uniform, no loud yells, just smiles and… Read more.
Today as I write this, I feel such a sense of accomplishment and pride, at the birth of our new “baby”, Inspire Me Today.com. For the last six months we’ve worked to put everything in motion to bring this site to the world. From designing the site, to writing copy, to determining what individuals want each morning to inspire them, to working with our amazing bunch of Inspirational Luminaries to gather the content, it has been a labor of love. Love of what we’re doing, and love that we’re sharing with the world. This birthing, like most others, doesn’t come… Read more.
