Share YOUR Brilliance!

For the last year we've been bringing you what we call Today's Brilliance each morning, from a different Inspirational Luminary. The time has come where we'd now like to invite YOU, our community, to submit your brilliance to be posted on InspireMeToday.com. What is Today's Brilliance? We believe that each person has untold brilliance within.  Our Today's Brilliance is just that- the beliefs and core principles that guide our decisions in life. I believe we have to not only know ourselves but also what we believe in before we can get anywhere in life. Otherwise, it’s like heading out on…

Stop Being a “Wish I”… and Become a “Watch Me”!

Do you know what a "Wish I" is? I call a "Wish I" someone who talks about how they wish they could change their lives for the better with statements such as "I wish I could lose weight and get in shape" or "I wish I could quit smoking" or "I wish I had more money". They focus on all the things they feel are missing from their lives. They live according to how they think things are "supposed" to be, rather than how they really are. They say they want to change, but yet they do nothing about it.…

Today, InspireMeToday.com is celebrating our first birthday! Woohooo!!! To those of you who have been with us from the beginning, thank you! To those that have joined us along the way, thank you! However, time revealed some necessary changes to…

Take Time to Connect

Just for a moment, think this one thought: I am an unlimited being. I have the power to be, do or create anything in my life that I desire. Anything. How does that feel? Like most people, you're probably feeling something like "yeah, I wish", or "if only that were true", or even "I wish I could believe that".  To some just saying this feels like we're lying. Some days more than others, we're able to see the possibility of "I am an unlimited being" really being a true statement. What makes the difference of not being able to say…

Spring Renewal- Starting Anew

Just a few weeks ago I found myself mentoring a client who had gone through a major loss and life change. While sometimes difficult, rebuilding your life after a loss or big change can also be one of the greatest opportunities in life. When we look to Nature, we see that rebirth and renewal are a standard part of life. And like the newness of the Spring, we get to start over with the wisdom that we've learned from our past experience of what works and what doesn't. Life is giving us a clean slate to create anew. I've personally…

Reconnecting to Your Inner Light

When I told the doctors who were about to perform surgery on me that I was sensitive, and to please use either less or weaker pain-killers afterwards, they didn't believe me. As a result, I had an intravenous nightmare ride for two days after the surgery until I made a big enough fuss that they took me off. Pain? Who cares about pain when you feel like your own mind is slipping you into the grossest, unimaginable insanity?!? Even after they had stopped administering the drug, the nightmares persisted when I tried to sleep. But blessedly, I could open my…

Quick, Before it Melts!

If you want to learn the greatest lessons in life, pay attention to Mother Earth. Nature has a way of showing us the things we need to learn, including the inevitability of change. Springtime in the Rocky Mountains is the perfect example. Just yesterday we had the biggest blizzard of the year- more than two feet of pristine white powder blanketed our world. The day was dark, cloudy and overcast as we were buried with snow. Today, spring is back, the sun is blazing, the temperatures are soaring into the 50’s AND we still have tons of snow covering the…

Take Time to Follow Your Dreams

What do you dream of doing? Thinking about your dreams and discussing them with others are key components to eventually making them a reality. A lot of people aren't really sure of their passion or their dream. It can take years to puzzle together your passion and how you plan to follow it. It took me 30 years to develop and follow my passion! Hopefully my story will help you be patient and never give up on your dream. A seed for my passion was planted when I was a teenager and took care of children whose parents were attending…

Let’s Pretend

This morning I talked with one of my good friends, Lori. She was telling me about a great new plan that she had for her business. The excitement was palpable and grew exponentially as she shared her enthusiasm. Then suddenly she stopped, and said, "Well, that's what I'll do WHEN I get a sponsor." Enthusiasm gone. Excitement killed by logic. We all have dreams. We all have the same voice inside telling us why we can't do our own specific dream. What's the biggest impediment stopping you from your dream? If I had the money… if I were younger…  if…

86,400 Seconds

I'm writing this to you from the farm in Minnesota where my husband spent his childhood. We're here to celebrate the life of his mother, who passed away a few days ago. My parents are both still alive and thriving, but the loss of my mother-in-law has hit me hard. Everyday someone's parent or loved one dies. We experience it all around us and almost become immune to feeling sorrow because it's such a normal part of life. Until it's your parent or loved one who passes on. Then the world as we know it stops turning. Bits of the…

The Reward is in the Effort

GUEST POST FROM SOPAN GREENE Gail has asked me to post to her blog, as she's with family in Minnesota. Her mother-in-law passed away a few days ago. Gail will be returning to the office next week. In the meantime, I wanted to share this with you in the hopes that it will move you into action on your dream. In working on the Global Hug Tour over the past few months I’ve seen amazing things happen in very short periods of time.  Most of this is from Gail Lynne Goodwin being a ‘generator.’ She is always generating and producing…
