Every day should be a positive one, no matter what it may bring you. One way to focus on the positive is to start each day with a mantra to bring in a positive outlook and exclude the negative. Some people like to have one personal mantra they say every day, while others like to switch it up, always staying on the bright side.

Here are some daily mantras to keep you in bright, positive spirits. Choose one to be your own, modify them to suit you, or alternate between your favorites.

Top-10-Daily-Mantras-To-Get-You-Going-Inspire-Me-Today-Pic-450X300 I am thankful for what I have, even if it’s not perfect.

When you start to doubt what you have, whether it is an old sofa you’d like to replace, pants that may be a little too tight, or a family that feels needy, focus on how blessed you are to even have these things, that they work and that they are yours.

My word of the day is____________ and I will keep it with me.

Choose a word to keep with you all day and lift you up. When you begin to feel down or tired or negative at all, bring your word forward and think on it. Some examples may be “graciousness,” “love,” “family,” “blessings,” “worth,” “happiness,” “joy.”

My sphere surrounds me and no negative shall come in, but my positive energy can flow out and touch many.

Imagine a warm sphere surrounding you in your favorite color. It gently holds you to keep you uplifted, keeping all negative energy away, but allowing your positive feelings to flow out and impact those around you.

I will watch my words.

Think about everything that you say before you say it. Let your words be positive and supportive, not negative or deteriorating. Watch your words become things of beauty.

I will smile and impact someone’s day positively.

A smile can brighten someone’s day, even a stranger’s. We go through our days very self-focused, and a warm smile or kind gesture can brighten someone’s day, maybe someone who needs it. In turn, it will brighten yours.

My breaths will be deep and my heart will be open.

We can only control so many things about our days, and when the day gets too out of control, remember to breathe in deeply and let that breath slowly out. Those few seconds can bring perspective back. If your heart is open and light (you yogis know how to do this), your world will be lighter; no weight will be heavy on your shoulders.

There are blessings hidden everywhere; I will find them.

Look for the hidden blessings, especially when your day gets tough. Take a moment to search deeply; you never know what blessing you may uncover.

I will remember that the only shoes I wear are my own.

When you encounter someone whose actions you don’t understand, remember that you don’t know what may be going on in his or her life. Try not to judge, but do try to empathize. Be grateful for the shoes you wear in life.

My curses will become blessings.

We all have people who we’d rather not have to deal with. Instead of thinking negative thoughts about them, try to send them a blessing. It may be hard at first, but any positive feeling is much better for you than harboring a negative one.

I’ll release the things out of my control.

Way too much time is spent worrying about things beyond our control. If we can let them go, our time and energy can be much better spent. Release…

The more these mantras are said, the more they will be lived. Those around you will feel them, too, and before you know it, you will be practicing a positive life full of bright, uplifting energy.

  1. I’m a big believer in the power of mantras, Heather, and your examples inspired me. It’s great to try out some new ones. Each morning, I remind myself: Drive your own destiny! First, I like the action behind the word “drive.” It puts me in the driver’s seat. Plus, my mantra forces me to remember that my life will be what I make of it, and not something thrust upon me. Thanks for your great post!

  2. Thank you so much, Heather. I feel in so much turmoil at the moment that it’s hard to concentrate, but mantras seem simple to latch onto.

  3. Wow, that’s great to think of a mantra to say and think everyday. I love that idea! It will help me stay positive and focused on what’s important. Positive and motivational words need to be said and reflected on constantly.

P.S. My sister and I have recently started a blog where we share inspirational quotes and reflections each day. Please spread the word and check out our website.

  4. Looking for hidden blessings is a great idea because it shifts your awareness to a state of positive expectation–which can only lead to good things.

  5. As national poet said “NIZ GAURAV KA ABHIMAN RAHE,HUM BHI KUCHH HAIN YEH DHYAN RAHE” WE MUST FEEL I AM AN IMPORTANT INDIVIDUAL IN SOCIETY AND WILL DO BETTER,WILL THAINK BETTER,IT FORMULA WILL GIVE A POSITIVE ENERGY AND WILL AVOID NEGATIVITY.
