Be Joyful, No Matter What

Topics: ,

If I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I'd want to pass along to others...

  • Learn how to let go of negative thoughts and focus on the positive instead.

Live in appreciation of all the amazing miracles that life offers everyday, and of the miracle that you are.

Live in the moment just like a child and look at everything with a beginner’s mind.

If you are able to practice this until it becomes second nature and if we are able to teach our children to retain this ability that they already have, then you will be amazed at how life is always joyful.

Remember that we are human-beings and not human-doings. Therefore focus on who you want to BE as a person and not what you want to do or have. Let go of mainstream thinking that the more money you have, the bigger the house you have, or the younger you look, that somehow you are a better person. None of these things are permanent while who you are as a person is. This is what will affect everything you do & everyone whose life you touch. Are you kind, generous, or loving? Are you helpful and supportive when somebody is upset and feeling desolate? The best thing is that you can choose whatever you want to be, so go ahead and choose to be something that will make a difference both to you and others.

Always follow your heart when making decisions in life. Choose the things that make you feel alive and joyful; that make you feel excited when you wake up in the morning. The things that when you are doing them, you have no idea where the time has gone. Life is too short to spend being miserable and unhappy. It doesn’t matter what anyone else wants for you. Only you know what is singing in your heart. Listen to it at all times.

Speak your truth at all times. Although this may not be easy to do, because we are afraid of hurting other people’s feelings, it is so much easier in the long run. We do not have to remember what we said because the truth is always in us, we do not have to feel guilty or fearful, and we can be light and free. The important thing is to do it with kindness & gentleness. Swallowing your truth only causes problems for yourself and others. They are usually hurt when they find out you have not been honest with them and you may become resentful or it can adversely affect your health.

Take care of your health and well-being. No matter what, find time for self care and healthy living. Without good health, everything else in life can be a lot more difficult. When we are well on all levels – physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually – we can have the energy and enthusiasm to live our lives to the fullest. Health is not something that we can attend to later. It requires daily attention from the day we are born.
