A Simple Guide to an Honest Heart

If I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I'd want to pass along to others...

  • The more we give to others the happier we become. It can be as simple as a smile, a helping hand, a listening ear or a prayer. These little things can change a person’s entire life.

There is always good even in what seems like the worst situation. That might not change the way you feel, but it will eventually be understood. You can find comfort in the fact that one day, that moment will be the reason you are where you are.

A messy house doesn’t mean you’re a failure- it means that you’re enjoying your family and living your life. The mess will always be there tomorrow.

Don’t be so hard on yourself; you are right where you’re supposed to be. We continue to grow at our own pace. Life is not a race or a competition.

Don’t listen to what other people say. People judge to make themselves feel better.

Think before you speak and you’ll find that you choose your words wisely.

If the most important thing to you is money or material objects, then you’re missing out on so much of what is important in life.

Love is more than an emotion. It’s a choice that requires work. When you choose to love you are making the choice to put others before yourself. This isn’t always easy but it always worth it.

Failure shouldn’t stop you from trying. Giving up should never be an option. A simple readjustment of your plan or your attitude can make the difference.

Never listen to what others say about your dreams. Your dreams and aspirations are yours alone and given to you as a gift.

Don’t allow fear to make your decisions. Pushing through that fear can offer you a life changing experience.

Things don’t always happen the way that we expect them to, but this doesn’t mean that it’s not what we need.

Never expect more than what you have, and you’ll find happiness with it. If you are always looking for more you’ll never enjoy anything.

The past doesn’t define you; it is however the reason you are who you are. Embrace yourself, forgive yourself and be thankful you are stronger and wiser because of it all.

Go out of your way daily to show your family that you love them. It takes work to show your love and life is too short.

The people who are most undeserving of love are the ones that need it the most. So loving them might just change their lives.

If you believe that a new job, a new car, or moving to a new town will make things better than you’ll never find happiness.

The purpose of life is to serve others.

Your words mean nothing if they’re not followed by action. Say what you mean and mean what you say at all cost.

Don’t live your life trying to gain approval from others. Instead, find yourself and be happy!

Thank you so very much for your wise compassionate words. The part about growing at one’s own pace was particularly comforting because I seem to be repeating my mistakes and ‘learning’ the same, painful lessons over and over. While I try to forgive others, I try to remember to forgive myself. Thank you agin.

So well said! I love those words which resonate with mine. I’m experiencing some uncertainties but deep down I know that I’ll be fine. I consciously remind myself to forgive others and myself; not to wasting precious time on material persuasions because it’s the heart and the soul that want to be joyous and happy; that can only happen when you are at peace with yourself,
and be found in serving others.
