The last few days I’ve been on a rollercoaster with the launch of our new website design yesterday. On Sunday night when the new site was supposed to be uploaded, I was in tears at the massive list of things that still weren’t complete. We’ve been working on this for months and we’re already well beyond the deadline we set to present this to you. It’s frustrating when things don’t go as planned or as expected.

What a lesson I learned in expectation. By last night, only a day later, everyone was happy. We had such a great response from the new design and I’m so grateful for the loving support of our InspireMeToday.com community. Seems my expectations were the highest, while others were thrilled by the 90% improvement, not disappointed by the 10% that still isn’t complete.

I spent several days frustrated and focusing on what’s still not right, instead of celebrating the accomplishments. My bad. Funny thing is, yesterday when I decided to celebrate each and every little accomplishment, they grew exponentially and suddenly the site appeared right before my eyes. I was astounded at how quickly it came together- once I started to focus on the parts that I was grateful for, and focus on what was right about it.

To my team, thank you for your expertise and persistence. To our members, thank you for your patience, which is much greater than mine. I’ve always had this feeling that God gave us all the same amount of patience when we were born, and I’ve just used what was in my patience bucket. However, it seems that life continually teaches me that there is an unending supply there for me, if I only take the time to find it.

Creating a new website design isn’t like going out and buying a new piece of artwork to hang in your home. It’s more like planning and planting an intricately designed garden in your backyard. You have a vision, sketch out a design and plant the seeds. Then you live with anticipation and wait for them to sprout. Some never pop up, some are eaten by the birds, but the ones that grow are beautiful. And then you plant more, and you continue to wait to prune and care for them as well. It’s a never-ending process of weeding while nurturing the plants.

So thanks for your patience while we grew this latest patch of flowers for you. If you like them, please let us know. If we planted roses and you’d rather have daisies each morning, please share that with us too. We’re making this site FOR YOU personally, and we want to provide you with inspiration that rocks your world.

Why? Simply put, because you deserve it! In today’s extra busy world, you deserve a daily reminder of the magnificence that you truly are.  You deserve to take a moment and connect with the greater part of you. Thanks for allowing us the privilege of providing it for you. We promise to bring you the best inspiration each day, and together, share the most magnificent garden ever.

Thanks again for being a part of InspireMeToday.com. We love you and appreciate you.

  1. I LOVE the new look. It’s beautiful – as are you and your messages. I love the color and flow. I see how you’re branding your name with the logo – nice touch.

As I visit more frequently, I can let you know of improvements, but as of right now, I think it Rocks!!!

  2. Gail,
Please do not underestimate the power of your sharing.
I am taking the first steps toward growing a fairly complicated new website. Previous website raisings have had successful results but the process was painful.
What if I celebrated each and every little accomplishment?
    We’re going to find out.
    Thank you Gail,
    Jeff
