Step into an Unthinkably Confident Relationship with Life

Looking to the past for guidance on how to make a new beginning is like asking an echo to show you where it got started. We do not need to think in order to know the right thing to do in the moment for ourselves, or for others! In fact, quite the opposite is true. The amazing possibilities that appear with each present moment are literally beyond thought. After all, the best moments in our lives -- those priceless times when we feel most alive -- unfold without our taking a single thought about them. That unforgettable sunrise we shared…

Creating the Masterpiece of What Might Be

For the last few months I haven’t blogged much, as I’ve been physically working at our new home in Glacier National Park. We’ve been working to complete the construction of our dream - a gorgeous home in the mountains. I take great pride in what we’re creating here... sometime a bit too much. I’m writing today to share a learning experience I had this week, from behavior that I’m not proud of. Our current project is the creation of original concrete/painted/epoxy countertops for our kitchen. I learned a lesson this week from a super sweet 11 year-old girl, named Lexi.…

Sponsored: Strategies for the Very Serious Business of Happiness

Often, we think of our professional lives as defining of our success as a human being. This is apparent at any social gathering where what we do as a career becomes the center of conversation. Indeed, what we "do" as a profession is important to our economic sustainability. However, the real question, the one that speaks to the heart of the matter of our sustainable wellbeing is: how happy are we in what we do regardless of what our “business” might be? In my coaching practice, workshops and on Harvesting Happiness Talk Radio, I emphasize the need to show up for…

How To Simplify Our Busy, Stress Filled Lives!

By Kathy Casey. When I looked up what's going on in the world in order to write a relevant article, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the first week of August has been designated as "National Simplify Your Life Week." Now, that's a timely subject! Most everyone I know is continuing in their job because retirement funds are not quite there yet, starting new businesses, or taking care of grandkids or elderly parents. We are so busy that it’s sometimes difficult to find time for our friends. This can lead to a lot of stress, sometimes good stress if…

The Best Year Ever

By Sheevaun Moran. If you're sitting at your desk or on the sofa reading this, know that having the best year ever is entirely possible. The possibility of an entire year can last far beyond the first two weeks after New Year's but you will have to do a few things to make that happen. Most of them are as simple as brushing your teeth and done as regularly as brushing your teeth. Receive yourself the gift of knowledge that your body is giving you the signals about an issue or situation. Give what you want most – if you…

A Conversation With God?

About a month ago I sat in front of my laptop with some heavy thoughts on my mind. In trying to figure out a difficult situation, I gave up and just started typing the first statement below. Rarely do I get to a place where I momentarily crash, but I was tired and was venting in frustration. From there my fingers kept typing and here are the  responses that I "heard" in reply to my questions. I'm not sure this came from the Universe, God, my higher self, my imagination or whatever else. What I do know is that I…

Life is Like a Carton of Eggs

My son teases me about my blog and when something happens he'll say, "Oh no, she's going to blog about this". He's even made a game out of it when we're hiking where he'll point to a tree or some other object and say something like, "What would your tree blog be about...", and off I go. He affectionately makes fun of me, but in a playful way. He seems to think I could write a blog on just about anything. I'm not sure it that's a compliment or not, but regardless, it did get me thinking about the question-…

Valentines from the Universe

Yesterday afternoon I took a break and went for a walk with my dog Koda along the shore of Flathead Lake, where we live in Northwest Montana. Flathead Lake is the largest lake west of the Mississippi- about 12 miles wide by more than 30 miles long. The shoreline of this alpine, mountain lake is very beautiful, covered with rocks of all shapes and sizes. I needed a break from what could have been a stressful situation, so I went for a walk to play on the beach with Koda and reconnect with nature. Walking along the beach I started…

Lessons Learned From an Eagle

Yesterday morning a bald eagle came to visit me at our home on Flathead Lake in Northwestern Montana. I saw him on a tree just off our deck, as I opened the door to let our dog, Koda, outside. It was a chilly morning and I was still in my robe. Not wanting to miss this opportunity, I quickly grabbed my camera and ran back out to the deck, only to find it covered with a thin coat of ice. (I almost went flying.) It was disconcerting how this eagle just sat there in the tree looking at me. I…

You’re Invited to Embrace Crazy With Me

Today I want to talk with you about something crazy- your ideas. Everyone has had a crazy idea at some point in their life. Perhaps it's the urge to start a new business, move to a different location or to do something outrageous to make a difference in your world. But very few people actually 'Embrace Crazy' and take the first step to implement their crazy idea into their lives. (Embrace Crazy is the name of my new book.) In order to understand what I'm talking about, I want to first define what I mean by the word "crazy". I'm…

Inevitable Dreams- the Global Hug Tour

So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable. ~ Christopher Reeve Almost a year ago we had the vision for the Global Hug Tour….. 2 people in a small prop plane, flying 31,000 miles around the world on a 5-month tour to gather inspiration, deliver 100,000 hugs and share millions with important non-profit causes. We created a preliminary flight plan, an itinerary, identified the non-profits we wanted to help and actively searched for the funding. Knowing the cause was great; we created a team…

Take Time to Connect

Just for a moment, think this one thought: I am an unlimited being. I have the power to be, do or create anything in my life that I desire. Anything. How does that feel? Like most people, you're probably feeling something like "yeah, I wish", or "if only that were true", or even "I wish I could believe that".  To some just saying this feels like we're lying. Some days more than others, we're able to see the possibility of "I am an unlimited being" really being a true statement. What makes the difference of not being able to say…

Gary Vaynerchuk Labels Global Hug Tour “Freakin Awesome!”

Yesterday I had the honor of speaking to Gary Vaynerchuk in reference to the Global Hug Tour. I'm at the Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas and Gary was the keynote speaker (check out 44:25 on the video link). In a room of thousands, during the Q&A section after his presentation, I briefly explained the Global Hug Tour and asked him for his recommendation on how to best share our story with the world. Gary's thought the idea was "freakin awesome!" and said he'd personally hug everyone in the room. He went on to say that in order to get…
