I’m writing this on Friday, April 18th, while packing for our honeymoon. On April 6th, my sweetheart, Darryl and I got married on the one-year anniversary of our first date. Many of you have asked for details and photos so I thought I’d make this easy and post this here for you.

Darryl and I married outside on the deck of our home in Boulder, Colorado, surrounded by our family. It was a very small, intimate wedding. In the course of the 30-minute celebration we experienced sunshine, warm breezes, a light sprinkle, strong gusts of wind and yes, even snow.  As our friend Debra said, “Now you know you can stand all kinds of weather together!” I should have known better than to wear a sleeveless, backless dress during springtime in the Rockies, but I think love kept me warm. Our family was freezing but as long as Darryl had his hand on my back, I was toasty. Must be love.

The celebration itself was so personal as we wrote the ceremony and the vows ourselves and included our family as participants. It was one of those perfect, time-stand-still moments. I wouldn’t change anything about the day.

After the ceremony we celebrated with about 50 friends at Zolo, our favorite restaurant in Boulder. It was a magical evening filled with friends, music and dancing. We decided to delay the honeymoon for almost two weeks as we had friends in town and had launched InspireMeToday.com on this same day. Since the website is now up and running smoothly, we’re turning it over to our trusty assistants and going sailing for two weeks.

I’ll still try to blog from the Caribbean but internet access may be sporadic, so please have patience with me if the blogs are few and far between for the next 2 weeks. I promise you’ll be back in our world when we return. Have a great two weeks and I look forward to talking with you again soon. In the meantime, please visit the site each day enjoy our amazing Inspirational Luminaries!
