Each morning when we wake up we are given the most important choice of the day- for it sets the tone for the entire day. We can choose to wake up worried about bills and the drama of life, or we can consciously shift our energy and perception and count our blessings. It’s impossible to focus on both at the same time.

Gratitude is the fastest way to move from where we are to where we want to be. Gratitude alone holds the power to shift our energy to one of possibility. Gratitude holds the key to creating the future we choose.

The rest of the week may appear overwhelming. Our “to do” list may be longer than we’d like it to be. We may like a bigger nest egg in our bank account. We may long for something left behind in our past. We might not feel well. Life may not seem fair.

It doesn’t matter. Stay with gratitude- no matter what pops up for you.

You might get an email or a telephone call with bad news. Let it go and return to gratitude. Whatever yucky feeling comes up for you, let it go too. Consciously bring yourself into a state of gratitude just by asking, “What am I grateful for right now?” Find “that” and focus on it. Perhaps it’s your family, your health, a beautiful sunrise. Whatever it is for you- focus on it and feel the joy. Feel grateful!Child Hug
It is still a beautiful world filled with unlimited possibility- if we choose to see it. If we look behind the illusion of what we sometimes call “reality”, there is a deeper world waiting for us. It’s the world where we realize that we are powerful beyond belief… beyond comprehension, beyond limitation. It’s the world inside where dreams can grow, where miracles happen and where unlimited possibilities abound.

You and you alone hold the key that unlocks the door to this infinite world, and that key is called gratitude.

Open the door today. Be grateful for the many things in your life that you might be taking for granted. Be grateful for the opportunities awaiting you, even if you don’t know how to make them happen. Be grateful for the mind and the heart within that give you the ability to express your gratitude. Forest And Sunlight1

Just be grateful.

From that, the doorways to the heavens will open and you will be showered with blessing. Invite gratitude to be a daily companion on your path. Let each step silently resonate with “Thank you”. Realize the miracle of life, the miracle of you and celebrate with gratitude.

Take that feeling into the rest of the week and step forward with certainty that you are blessed, you are loved and everything is unfolding as it should. That alone will bring such a sense of peace and happiness into your life- and it all starts with this little thing, called gratitude.

  1. Thank you for your thoughts Gail. It’s truly amazing what can happen when we choose to focus on the wonderful things in our lives rather than the noise. We even have the ability to view seemingly negative events from a grateful perspective. I’ve experienced many events that seemed awful at the time but that turned out to be major learning moments that improved my life. Gratitude helps us welcome these gifts.
