14 Lessons On Life, Love, Career And Pursuit Of Personal Fulfillment

Life isn’t searching for perfection
Life is perfection in itself.
Awareness, truth and introspection
Are keys to learning that yourself.
*****
Any profession that you choose
Can make you rich someday
From selling stock to shining shoes
White collar, blue or grey

Profession is the recipe
You are the secret sauce
Love what you do and you will see
The money will come forth.
*****
What you believe tends to transpire
So choose whichever takes you higher!
*****
The search for Love cannot succeed
By looking outside
Love is within, it is a seed
So water it with pride!
*****
You aren’t here to be a student
Life’s not a school you must complete
Your judgment won’t be always prudent
And there’s no prize in this track meet

What’s there – unlimited potential.
All-you-can-eat journey buffet
Pick one or all – that’s not essential,
Experience is why you stay!
*****
Though truth sometimes is hard to hear
Please listen to its verse
It tends to trigger those deep fears
In which you are immersed

But if you choose to hear truth’s sound
It will reverberate
Allowing you to find new ground
And lessen fears’ weight.
*****
A thought’s – a moment of creation
And if that moment is allowed
It can turn into inspiration
And manifest to make you proud.
*****
To have a happy lasting marriage
Both mustn’t hide from who they are.
They need to speak each other’s language
And place the other as the star.
*****
Strive fully to pursue your essence
Align with it to find your way
Fulfilment, happiness and presence
Will follow you starting that day!
*****
No accident is ever random
Coincidence is just a word
Cause and effect’s – a real tandem
No matter what you may have heard
*****
Kids are a blessing, treat them so
Thank them for choosing you to lead
Remember that for them to grow
Your words must match your every deed

You’re not their boss, do not command
Just love them, show them every day
That you are here to understand
And help them in whatever way

They aren’t you, do not compare
Your thoughts to those they may possess
They’re their own people meant to share
Your world, which they are here to bless!
*****
Careers selected for reward
May bring a hefty sum
But no amount that you can hoard
Will ever overcome

The feeling that you sold your heart,
That you are here for more
And knowing if you press re-start
You’d do what you adore!
*****
Regardless of what Facebook shows
True friends are hard to find
A real friend already knows
Whatever’s on your mind.

When you’re in trouble they will aid
When you’re in luck – rejoice
True friendship’s measured by who stayed
For it is not a choice.
*****
What’s here today is shortly gone
Enjoy it while it lasts
Do things to which you’re feeling drawn
And let go of the rest!

  1. This is one of the BEST “inspire today” I have read since 13 months ago – daily -.. What Allen says is soo true, but what really touched me just in four short lines was “about marriage” and especially – how true and so precious – what he wrote about “children” – how true and solemn – and yet we expect them to be like we are etc., thank you soooooooooooo much for these such truer than life thoughts.
We miss out so much feeling disappointed by our children instead of feeling “blessed” to have them, guide them and love them – unconditional – (even if it is hard to do sometimes).
Thank you so much , Allen.

    1. Thank you Maria! 15 years of marriage and 2 blessings taught me a lot 🙂 I was so happy to put into words what my feelings are and now they serve as constant reminders to me and others. I am thrilled you agree!
