1) Be “Who You Really Are”.

That statement used to sound so silly to me. I thought, “Of, course I am being who I really am, who else would I be being?!”

But today I realize the depth of that statement. The best thing that has ever happened to me was remembering and re-discovering who I really am. Decades of standards and ideals both societal and self-imposed, layer after layer, severely covered up a really amazing, extraordinary and beautiful human being who apparently was dying (no pun intended) to come out and play!

What if there were no standards or ideals put onto you by yourself or others? Who would you be? Who would you be if you knew no one was looking and they couldn’t possibly find out? Who would you be if there was absolutely no judgment… and you could just be, do, say, act whatever felt right to you?

And the real trick is not to be afraid of the real you! This quote from Marianne Williamson expresses it best:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves…Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world.

Couple that with remembering that who you are is whole, complete and perfect, and you’ll soon remember that there is nothing wrong with you! (By the way, and there never was anything wrong with you… you just made all that nonsense up.)

2) Clear Those Limiting Beliefs

The only thing that stands between you and your dreams is you. All too often we honor the parts of ourselves that we’ve become, and let it become fact for us. And when it becomes fact, it becomes our reality.

“I’ll never have financial success.” “Good things happen to other people.” “Life is hard.” Fill in the blank ____________.

But these are not truths. They are merely words or ink on a page. We’re the ones that have assigned the meaning to them and then we actually believe it. If you’re going to pick a statement to believe, believe this one: “Ignorance is bliss.”

Imagine if you didn’t know phrases such as “life is hard” or “success doesn’t come easy”. Or imagine if you didn’t know how things were “supposed to” show up or look. What then could be possible?

Quit honoring the “the little voice in your head” and “they”. Neither know squat! But, the real you does.

3) Do What Feels Right – Follow the “Yes’s”

When we are being our real selves and we are not listening to “the little voice” or “them,” suddenly what happens is you can begin to hear. You can hear in a way you’ve never heard before and that is a listening from the source of which you came. It speaks to you through your feelings and says, “Yes, this way”. Feel your way to success by following your yes’s. Always.

If I had to sum it all up in one phrase it would simply be, “Let your freak flag fly!”
