If I could leave one piece of wisdom to the people on this planet before I go it would be that we always have a choice. We have a choice of not only what we put in our mouths for nutrition but also what we put in our minds and how we live our life. So much emphasis is placed on exercise and physical health, and that is indeed important. But we have to remember our emotional/spiritual health as well. We must choose to only accept positive thoughts, positive self talk, and remember with every exhale we have the ability to make a different choice and with every choice we have the ability to create a different opportunity and different reality for ourselves.

For example, in the medical world I always encourage people to get at least a second opinion. Unless there is some pressing issue that must run you into the emergency room or operating room right now, explore other options. Same thing when it comes to alternative medicine. If you don’t like something about a particular acupuncturist, try another one. There is always another method, another person, another philosophy that may help you.

Sometimes we feel so stuck, so trapped in the patterns that we have known since childhood and beyond, but in reality we create everything that is around us. We can change our stress response (since we can’t actually stop the stress). Stress is inevitable. Things external to ourselves, outside of our control are going to happen. The only thing we can control is our response to that stress, the thoughts that we have about it, our reaction to it. This is within our control. And it is purely and unequivocably a choice.

So in moving forward in your life take the risk to make a different choice and to live a different life. What is the point of having a bucket list that sits there with nothing ever crossed off, saving the good China for the special company or the beautiful lingerie for that special night.

It sounds trite but seize the day and live for the moment. You never know when your life is going to change that you will no longer have the opportunities to do these things. I do things like flying trapeze and hip-hop dance. They bring me more joy than I could ever have imagined. People are impressed and inspired by what I do, and I encourage them to go find their own trapeze. Find what outside of their comfort zone is going to propel them forward in life. Make a different choice to live. Take risks, make choices, create change.

  1. Beautifully said Kathy! I personally share very similar same messages with the people I connect with. I greatly admire your ability to share your inspiring words in a BIG way!!! Thank you for giving your gift to the world!

  2. True, so very true. My emotional issues cause me to not make good choices for myself because I do not feel I deserve to be happy. I am trying to make daily choices that are good, but it is baby steps all the way. You are an inspiration to us all, Kathy.

  3. It sounds like how we try to live our lives, except for trapeze and hip hop. You are never to old to learn something new especially from someone you admire so much ,even if she is a “little younger”.

  4. This was sooo on the money. As I prepare for internet siting of what is purpose behind our Societies Energizing of Energy, Awareness of Awareness of Awareness of Awareness natural paradigm shift for God’s passage through the subconscious has soundness that enhances the concept of the underlying Creative to Mono-believe in the Create number system and not just believe in ego. This will switch the descending God to the Academia of God. And, it opens up the possibility for Homo sapiens sapiens to Poly-believe on a species-wide level once we understand all of the eternal initial value problems initial value, where one parameter is going within; a responsibility that is thought of to be required by all. Academia of God will reiteratively recourse belief in God and translate the average dictating positive and negative to very positive and positive. This is all done with an objective of trend of “now”.
