I truly believe that every person is a divine creator, that there’s a power within each of us that is common to every human being…and we’re all connected to it. This refined mindful energy is conscious enough to support, maintain, protect, and heal us every moment. It keeps our heart beating hundreds of thousands of times per day, creates over 60 million cells every minute and organizes hundreds of thousands of chemical reactions in one cell every second. It is also the same intelligence that keeps the planets rotating around the sun, creates supernovas in distant galaxies, and loves the lily into bloom.

When we take the time to develop a relationship with this mind, when we use it to create desired events in our future, and finally, when we express this power, love, and intelligence through us; we become more like it…we become divine.

In 1986 I had the privilege of getting run over by a truck in a triathlon. When I received the diagnosis that I broke six vertebrae, had bone fragments on my spinal cord, and probably would never walk again, I had to make some important decisions. After I decided against a radical surgery recommended by four different experts, I left the hospital with only one conviction: “The power that made the body, heals the body.” My mission was to make contact with this innate intelligence, then give it a template with very specific orders and surrender my healing to this unlimited power.

I learned some pretty profound lessons as a byproduct of my injury. I think that we are defined by our adversity. When we are confronted with lifetime trauma and crisis, we must change our mind to truly address that situation. In difficult times, we must look to see what piece of philosophy or intellectual understandings that we know, but have not experienced, and apply that knowledge to create a new experience. The persistence, conviction, and focus on any potential future lies within the mind of a person, as well as the mind of the infinite potentials in the quantum field.

Can we take the time to ask ourselves one question in the morning before we engage in our life? “What is the greatest ideal of myself that I can be today?” If we were patient enough to wait for an answer, we would begin to think and feel differently than if we just woke up and remembered ourselves as the same person. According to neuroscience, mind is the brain in action.

If we can commit to not arising to face the day until we feel like that new ideal, we would be conditioning the body to work together with our new mind. And when we have mind and body working together, we have the power of the universe behind us. And then when we walk through our life that day, something different should be different in our world as a result of our efforts… and no one is excluded from this phenomenon.

Joe Dispenza, D.C., studied biochemistry at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J. He also holds a BS degree with an emphasis in Neuroscience. Dr. Dispenza also received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating magna cum laude.

Dr. Dispenza's postgraduate training and continuing education has been in neurology; neuroscience; brain function and chemistry; cellular biology; memory formation; and aging and longevity. He is an invited member of Who's Who in America, an honorary member of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the recipient of a Clinical Proficiency Citation for clinical excellence in doctor-patient relationships from Life University, and a member of Pi Tau Delta - the International Chiropractic Honor Society.

Over the last 10 years, Dr. Dispenza has lectured in 24 different countries on six continents educating people about the role and function of the human brain. He has taught thousands of people how to re-program their thinking through scientifically proven neuro-physiologic principles. As a result, this information has taught many individuals to reach their specific goals and visions by eliminating self-destructive habits. His approach, taught in a very simple method, creates a bridge between true human potential and the latest scientific theories of neuroplasticity. He explains how thinking in new ways, as well as changing beliefs, can literally rewire one's brain. The premise of his work is founded in his total conviction that every person on this planet has within them, the latent potential of greatness and true unlimited abilities.

His first book, Evolve Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Mind, connects the subjects of thought and consciousness with the brain, the mind, and the body. The book explores "the biology of change." That is, when we truly change our mind, there is a physical evidence of change in the brain. As an author of several scientific articles on the close relationship between the brain and the body, Dr. Dispenza ties information together to explain the roles these functions play in physical health and disease. His latest DVD release of Evolve Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Mind, which was filmed in Australia, is based on the book and looks at the ways in which the human brain can be used to affect reality through the mastery of thought. He also sits as an invited editorial advisor of Explore Magazine.

In his research into spontaneous remissions, Dr. Dispenza has found similarities in people who have experienced so-called miraculous healings, showing that they have actually changed their mind, which then changed their health.

Dr. Dispenza is one of the scientists, researchers, and teachers featured in the award winning film, "What the BLEEP Do We Know!?" He also has guest appearances in the theatrical directors cut, "What the BLEEP Down the Rabbit Hole" as well as the extended Quantum Edition DVD set, "What the BLEEP Down the Rabbit Hole".

When not traveling and writing, he is busy seeing patients at his chiropractic clinic near Olympia, Washington.

What were your orders, how did the journey unveil the innate intelligence?

    Lovely post.
