Nina Lynn Meyerhof, Ed.D., President and Founder of Children of the Earth, a not-for-profit eighteen year old, 501 © (3), officially recognized United Nations NGO organization and dedicates itself to the building of a more ethical future.
To promote this, COE offers children and youth leadership skills programs at home and abroad; educational workshops, conferences and addresses at national and international forums, and fosters building networks and coalitions of groups with common purposes to further the concept of building global cooperation, inter-cultural understanding, spiritual understanding and ethical living skills. Its goal is, that one by one, youth hear the call and individually become spiritually inspired, socially responsible and an active peace builder.
Nina has made a life of advocating for children and youth. The co-author of Conscious Education: The Bridge to Freedom, she is recognized as an innovative educator committed to global responsibility through authentic learning. Having received many awards for her work from The Mother Theresa Award to the Citizen's Department of Peace Award to The International Educators Award for Peace, Nina continues daily to focus on altering world views for creating a better future. Her work is recognized by the Untied Nations.
Nina has traveled and worked for the past 20 years in approximately 50 countries addressing conferences and assembling adults and young people to focus on the potentials of bringing ethical living skills into daily life. An example is she brought 250 young people from war zones and conflict areas together to focus on a common Human Rights platform.
Presently Nina is forming The World Spirit Youth Council to be the cutting edge formulation of ideas percolating that will activate youth around the world to unite as a movement in the face of recognizing spirit as the positive force for social change and world peace. The youth programs have met in Japan, Nepal, Switzerland and Thailand.
