I’ve been struggling with Opiate addiction for 25 yrs. I recently am now doing better, I go to a clinic for treatment of this particular addiction, but now I see all the others whom also go are still struggling, now I try to show them that recovery is possible with hard work and wanting to change.
There is a Hindu Proverb that states, “Help your brother’s boat across, and your own will reach the shore.”
You are a very strong and compassionate soul Thom to, not only have survived your own Dark Night of the Soul, but now be sharing your light with others who are still lost in the abyss.

Jon,
I love your Proverb, that’s exactly the truth, wish I could have incorporated it into my life sooner!
God bless you my friend, Thom
Certainly, the best time to have incorporated it would have been sooner (in the past); however, the next best time to do so is now.
Peace to you my friend. Feel free to look me up on LinkedIn if you ever need. I am a really good listener.
