Today’s Brilliance from Ally Mollo

There are really no limits to what you can do in life, and when someone tells you that you can’t do something, stay strong and know in your heart that you can accomplish anything that you put your mind to.

Because I am just a kid, some people tried to tell me I couldn’t do certain things. Don’t let these type of people get to you. Be true to yourself, know who you are, and embrace that.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. We underestimate ourselves and can psych ourselves out of success, by being afraid. It is easy to doubt our abilities and question ourselves, but I think it is really important to strive forward and take risks. I don’t think we get anything valuable in life without some risk.

Don’t be scared of failure – we learn from our mistakes. My dad told me that when Thomas Edison was trying to invent the light bulb he first failed 1000 times. Instead of feeling like a failure, he just said, “I now know 1000 ways not to make a light bulb.”

I value family more than anything else in life. I think that always knowing that you are loved and that someone has your back at all times, gives you the confidence and the strength that you need to be successful in life. And nothing is as important as giving love and being loved.

I created my guardian angels because I wanted everyone to experience the feeling that someone has your back and is watching over you. I have always felt love from my grandfather, who passed away before I was born. I have always felt that he watches over me and it has given me comfort throughout my life. That is what I wanted to create with the angels, and that is what I wanted to share with the world.

I think it is easy to get so busy in life that we forget what really make us happy and to take care of ourselves. We need to remember that we matter and that we deserve some time to do the things that we love to do. As important as it is to be there for others, we have to remember that we are better people if we don’t put ourselves last. We can’t help others or be an example to other people if we are not happy ourselves.

And finally, don’t forget to dream! Making wishes and having dreams is where inspiration starts.

I am Ally Mollo and I am 12 years old. I was born in Los Angeles California and have lived my whole life here. My favorite thing to do in the whole world is to dance. I have been dancing since I was 7, and my favorite styles are contemporary, modern and hip hop. I also love to ski, river rafting and act. I go to acting camp every summer. I am now in 6th grade and it’s my first year in middle school. Most of my friends are still going to my old elementary school but I decided to move on to Immaculate Heart Middle School and High School. I loved my old school and really miss all of my old friends but I have been wanting to go this school ever since I first drove past it on the way to kindergarten. The change has been great and I have made a lot of new friends.

When I was 8 years old I drew a bunch of pictures of guardian angels and with the help of my mom and dad, we turned those drawings into a business. We make 7 different plush guardian angel buddies and are now working on an animated show for them. The business has been a great learning experience and it’s been wonderful hearing from other little girls around the U.S. that write me about how great the angels are and how they have helped them. That’s been the best.
