She beat cancer at 29. At 39 she won her battles with food, weight and lifestyle challenges. She is Roslyn Franken, author of The A List: 9 Guiding Principles for Healthy Eating and Positive Living. Roslyn engages, educates and enlightens others with her A List principles through her motivational speaking and weight loss coaching programs. She is also host of the How to Thrive After 35 Radio Show and teleseminar series and co-author of Death Can Wait: Stories from Cancer Survivors.

Roslyn’s principles and attitudes were inspired by her parents; a mother who survived the concentration camps of Nazi Germany and a father who survived the Japanese slave labour camps in Nagaski, Japan, as a Prisoner of War.

Diagnosed with cancer at age 29, Roslyn quickly learned that she inherited her parents' "survivor" attitude as she fought back to become herself a long-term cancer survivor.

The experience provoked her return to school with a Masters in Human Systems Intervention from Concordia University in Montreal and certification through the Professional School of Psychology in California and inspired a career as a motivational speaker, author, weight loss coach and radio host.

At 39, Roslyn's personal struggles with food and weight issues led to the creation of the techniques that changed her life. By putting the principles into practice, she reached and maintains her current, healthy weight and remains cancer-free.

Roslyn now owns and operates the Roslyn Franken Group. Through her speaking and coaching, Roslyn educates, motivates and supports others toward greater health, weight and lifestyle success with the life-changing principles in her book, The A List: 9 Guiding Principles for Healthy Eating and Positive Living. She is the founder of The A List Weight Loss Coaching program and The A List Gift of Health: A Win-Win Wellness Program for Employees and Companies.

Roslyn has been featured on television and radio and in numerous newspapers across North America and abroad including NBC, CTV, CH and A-Channel Television. Roslyn regularly gives back to the community through donations of her book and services.

Roslyn is happily married to Elliott Smith, a professional magician, and enjoys portraiture, the healing arts, cooking and song writing.

Today’s Brilliance from Roslyn Franken

It may not be what you…

Stop Being a “Wish I”… and Become a “Watch Me”!

They focus on all the things they feel are missing from their lives. They live according to how they think things are "supposed" to be, rather than how they really are. They say they want to change, but yet they do nothing about it.…
