The power of persistence is huge. So many people have amazing ideas, goals, and desires, but their lack of persistence prevents them from bringing these things to fruition. Please don’t let that be you.
Whether your goals in life are about making a certain amount of money, promoting a just cause you care deeply about, or inspiring and helping others in your own special way, there is one thing that is absolutely, positively, certain: You will face challenges.
There may even be times where it appears to you as though your goals and dreams just won’t be reached… Keep in mind that these are some of the most important times in your whole life, because these are the moments that determine whether or not you’ll succeed. These are the times where above all else, you should remember to keep going in the direction of your dreams: to be persistent.
Thankfully, it’s much easier to be persistent when you have the right attitude and view of life.
To have the right view of life and attitude, keep in mind that the world that we live in is not chaotic. As science continues to unveil each day, the world we live in is completely driven by laws. We have already uncovered some of these laws (modern medicine, psychology, physics, neuroscience, etc.), but, actually, many of these laws are still a mystery to us humans. Still, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Indeed, these unknown laws affect our lives every day despite the fact that we may not be aware of them.
So, as science shows, our world is driven by law and purpose. And since you’re part of this world, you too have a purpose. Each time you have a strong desire to achieve a certain goal, that’s you being driven or guided to fulfill your purpose.
Now that you know you’re here to fulfill a unique purpose that only you can fulfill, you should also remember that you’ve been created by a God-Creator that’s far greater than we humans. This is the first cause of the universe… the cause of the Big Bang, if you will. Whether this Creator is divine or not is up for discussion… but the fact remains that relative to our human powers this God-Creator is almighty.
As the first cause and Creator of this universe God wants its creation to succeed. All creators want their creations to succeed. And since you’re part of God-Creator’s creation, God wants you to succeed as well. Your success is God’s success.
Why does all this matter?
Well, it matters because if your success is God’s success, then any challenges you face on the way to your goals are actually designed to help you reach your goals! That’s right… the challenges you experience actually guide you toward achieving your goals — because at the end of the day we humans aren’t God, which means we might not always know the best way to fulfill our purpose and goals.
Although we have the best intentions and we think we know how to fulfill our purpose and achieve our goals, sometimes we truly need different guidance and direction. That’s when obstacles and challenges arise. That’s when, as long as we stay persistent, we’ll reevaluate our strategies and adjust them to better help us reach our ultimate goals and dreams.
So next time you face a challenge or obstacle, remember that God wants you to succeed and the challenge or obstacle that you’re facing is just there to better guide you toward your desired destination. Being persistent will be “easy-as-pie”!
