Love, Love, Love and Love Some More

You will never regret spending more time with your family and friends and less time on other things. Practice both random and intentional acts of support and kindness. Be generous with your community in your time and your pocketbook. Keep extending yourself with gentle understanding and compassion to the world. Accept and become gentler with yourself and stop judging others for being different. See the innocence in all people, imagining them as small children and old adults. Our challenge is not to give our love only to the good and happy; our challenge is to love all beings– one and the same.

Live Presently

Live every day as if it could be your last and hold your mortality close. Knowing that you will someday die, helps you live life more fully alive and awake. In this moment, you are perfectly aligned in mind, body, spirit and authenticity. Breathe and immerse yourself in the immeasurable opportunities. Feel the source of your life! As fear disappears your ego dies a death, now you can drink from life like a sponge thirsty for all things good. In this moment, magic happens as you engage in the flow.

Live Authentically

Through the journey of self-inquiry and awareness, you will discover who you really are and will be free to shine brightly in this world. This journey of self discovery awakens your consciousness. It is not achievements, titles or accolades that matter, you are enough just as you are. You have been blessed with every tool you need to fulfill your purpose. Your purpose is to share what is inside your heart as life reveals through your passion a song to express through your example.

Live in Gratitude

Count your blessings. Live by the model of wanting what you have rather than having what you want. Speak your appreciation, either in a heartfelt letter, meditation, or a kind gesture to your friends, family and colleagues. Give yourself the gift of gratitude and expand your personal joy by invoking spirit into your daily life. Live with contentment and an attitude of gratitude as your way of life and you will experience abundance!

See Life as an Earthly Classroom and Playground

WE get to play one more day! This is my Life 101 curriculum. Life is a big experience and holds lots of stuff. The material world is here to compliment our experience not to become the ultimate distraction. It’s easy to get lost in an endless sea of desire that can lead to spiritual emptiness. The more attached we are to the material things; the more we struggle as we face adversity, change and transition.

Events may happen that we don’t plan on, and we are tested, but we are never tested beyond our capacity. The human spirit is equipped to handle all of life—the key is to embrace joy and suffering as equal parts of your experience. Resistance makes things seem more difficult than they are whereas surrender and trust are the keys to restoring inner harmony. Our emotional fitness and resiliency help us to let go of our expectations and also to grieve our losses. Enjoy riding the roller coaster of life with your arms overhead and your eyes wide open! It all turns out all right in the end.

  1. Kristine – I resonate with and appreciate your post. I’m printing it out to share with my niece who is in prison. She likes receiving material that is uplifting and positive. Smiled at the images of playfulness and treating life like a roller coaster ride.
