Smart and savvy, Jen Blackert had what many would call the American dream: a prestigious, well-paying job and a supportive husband and family. However, as she achieved her career goals in corporate America she felt unfulfilled and wanted more from her work life.

Feeling overstressed and trapped by the thought of leaving a high-paying salary, Blackert experienced a corporate crash-and burn that became the beginning of new successes. Blackert began practicing yoga in 1997, at first for exercise and later for stress management. Yoga eventually led to a different way of being, through which she learned to deal more effectively with workplace pressures, overcame her personal dragons and began to discover who she was and what she wanted in life. With resolve, determination and encouragement from family, Blackert walked away from the secure salary of corporate USA, and has not looked back. Now a sought after business advisor and author of Seven Dragons: A Guide to a Limitless Mind (Create Space) Blackert's mission is to help businesses, organizations and individuals reach success, live their dreams and identify and overcome negative thought processes blocking their potential.

While advising business executives and entrepreneurs, Blackert began to recognize a set of reoccurring thought patterns that frequently trip people up and hold them back from their goals and wrote Seven Dragons to shed light on the most common mental roadblocks that keep us from realizing our potential.

Using journaling as a tool, Seven Dragons asks readers poignant questions to uncover their ambitions and fears, and bring about positive action in their lives.

As a business advisor, Blackert has helped entrepreneurs and businesses achieve success and increase revenue. On average, using her business strategies, such as her signature marketing technique, "The Simple Way," her clients have seen yearly increases in profits by 200 percent.

Blackert holds a Bachelor of Science in nutrition from Virginia Tech University, and has worked with hundreds of individuals, helping them find success in their work life. She was a contributor to Living the Law of Attraction (2008) and is currently working on a book with Ken Blanchard and Steven Covey, author of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Blackert is also working on her second book, Simple Marketing: The Simple Way to Big Business Growth, which is scheduled to release this fall.

When not consulting with clients, Blackert spends her time with her husband and two kids in Austin, Texas, and is an accomplished equestrian. For information, please visit www.jenblackert.com.
