“HOW do you find your passion in life? I am a 54 year old single woman who has been in the nursing field for over 30 years and I am ready for a change, but unable to take the plunge, change course, and do something different. I want to try something different, but am struggling with what that is….can anyone help? Thanks!” ~ Barb, Lakefield
Your passion is a story of emotional authenticity, responsibility and magic. It is a story of self-discovery and embracing the power within you. The specifics of what you are meant to do will come alive as you begin to find the seeds of greatness that are hidden within the challenges and hurdles you have already overcome.
There is a sacred alignment that occurs at the intersection of your passion, your triumphs and your grace which are the gifts and talents that flow naturally from you. It is in this alignment that you can begin to find your passion and your unique role in the greater world. Within the challenges we overcome, we find the lessons we came to learn in this lifetime.
You have the opportunity and the ability to be a force for positive. Everything is possible and you can change the world one conversation at a time. So you have to ask yourself, What do you want to do with your time? Do you want to see the world and focus on material possessions? Or do you want to make a difference with what you believe to be a very good idea or talent that you have worked very hard to hone?
In 1986, Walter Payton of the Chicago Bears said, “When I was a kid, I used my imagination to create situations. Once you experience something that you have dreamed about and you have reached that high, then you want to go a little bit further. And to do that, you paint a picture in your mind. And the picture you paint in your mind about achieving or doing something is far better than actually accomplishing it. So after you accomplish it, you can’t linger. You can’t stay with it. All of a sudden you start to paint another picture; you set another goal for yourself, something to shoot for.”
Have you painted that picture for yourself? Live large, dream big and no matter what, do not let anyone diminish your value or your importance.
