The Change Guarantee is the belief I go to during times of change and transition in my own life. It states that, “from this situation, something good will come.”
I’ve found that everytime my life is turned upside down, somehow, there is a gift associated with it, the universe is unfolding perfectly, life is on my side and somehow, I will come to see the lesson. I’ve interviewed thousands of people and every person can answer the question- what good came from this change?
I’m very committed to helping people see that change is good, that they are much better at change than they have ever been told, that the very best of who you are comes out during times of transition. The core of your spirit is a result of all the changes you’ve made and faced.
Change is the most important life skill to get good at.
There are ways of getting better at change – that’s what my work and my book have been about.
Think of the change you’d love to make or the change you are currently facing. I believe anyone can change – you’re never too old or too young. When you find that part inside yourself that doesn’t change – your core, your spirit – then the outside changes become infinitely easier to navigate.
Know that you have a ‘change muscle,’ a part of you that is made for change. You’ve always made it through any change in the past and you will again.
People who are good at change are not alone. They always ask for help, reach out, find someone who has gone through a similar change.
Remember, when you’re in the midst of a change, it’s easy to want to speed everything up, to make quick decisions and not stay with the uncertainty. Let life rearrange itself on its own time.
We all overestimate how quickly change will happen in a few days or weeks and then get discouraged when it doesn’t. And we all underestimate how much our lives can change in a few months or a year. Keep your intention clear as to what you want to change and have happen.
Yes. Good. Change can be easier to digest if you allow the process instead of resist it.
Thank you Ariane. My change is coming on my terms. I am saving to buy my home. I am doing it late in my age,48. But its changing from rent, to mortgage. Also my girlfriend is moving in. That is a big change. Its happening in the next month. I’m open to change in my life. Everything has been for the good, but the next two changes, are big ones, and hope they turn out good. This is what 2015 has presented to me so far.
Lots of Love Patrick
