This week’s Brilliance comes to us from Nava Writz at www.navasdesigns.com. English is not Nava’s native language, so she’s asked for our apologies…. but I think her message transcends language and grammar. Thank you Nava for sharing your wisdom with us! ——- When you hear stories about people coming to the United States, to the “dream land” to fulfill their dreams, know that it happened to me. I am a success story. Back in 1981, I arrived… Read more.
Recently, my friend Marci Shimoff shared a story with me that really touched my heart. Her friend CJ was very ill with lupus, but rather than complain about the situation, she was inspired to become a messenger of blessing. Everywhere she went she silently shared this blessing on behalf of others in her life. “May you be safe, may you be happy, may you be healthy, may you live with ease.” From strangers on the street, to friends and family, CJ spent a year blessing other people. When waiting in line at the grocery store, she would say her mantra… Read more.
Each week we select our favorite submission for Today’s Brilliance from anyone who cares to contribute to our blog. (Details are available here.) This week’s Brilliance comes to us from @Stephen at www.stephenpsmith.com. I think you’ll enjoy this one! Thank you Stephen for sharing your wisdom with us! ———– I am older today than I have ever been in my entire life. What a ridiculous statement! Of course I am. For the last year we’ve been bringing you what we call Today’s Brilliance each morning, from a different Inspirational Luminary. The time has come where we’d now like to invite YOU, our community, to submit your brilliance to be posted on InspireMeToday.com. What is Today’s Brilliance? We believe that each person has untold brilliance within. Our Today’s Brilliance is just that- the beliefs and core principles that guide our decisions in life. I believe we have to not only know ourselves but also what we believe in before we can get anywhere in life. Otherwise, it’s like heading out on… Read more.
Imagine what it would be like if you could give your community a feeling of safety and security, hope and optimism for the future. What if you and those around you were able to have significantly greater balance and control in your lives — even in the midst of change? In this world, people would consciously work toward treating others with more kindness and care. Children growing up in such a world would have more emotional stability and security. Whole departments in government and business would operate with more care. New solutions would be found to stubborn problems. Imagine what… Read more.
Do you know what a “Wish I” is? I call a “Wish I” someone who talks about how they wish they could change their lives for the better with statements such as “I wish I could lose weight and get in shape” or “I wish I could quit smoking” or “I wish I had more money”. They focus on all the things they feel are missing from their lives. They live according to how they think things are “supposed” to be, rather than how they really are. They say they want to change, but yet they do nothing about it…. Read more.

Just for a moment, think this one thought: I am an unlimited being. I have the power to be, do or create anything in my life that I desire. Anything. How does that feel? Like most people, you’re probably feeling something like “yeah, I wish”, or “if only that were true”, or even “I wish I could believe that”. To some just saying this feels like we’re lying. Some days more than others, we’re able to see the possibility of “I am an unlimited being” really being a true statement. What makes the difference of not being able to say… Read more.
