You were put on this earth to experience an extraordinary life: a life of joy, purpose and abundance. It is your birthright. The fact that so few do disturbs me greatly. As Henry David Thoreau so aptly said, “Most people lead lives of quiet desperation and go to their graves with their music still in them.” I don’t want this to be you!

Even if you do not believe this is possible for you at this moment, I don’t ever want you to stop searching for answers. Constantly ask yourself, “How can I live an extraordinary life? What do I have to understand to make this happen? How do I express more of my ‘Higher Self’ every day?”

If you do nothing more than ask these questions every day, eventually the answers will come. You will be led to books, teachers, seminars, and mentors, all with pieces to the puzzle for you. Your intuition will then help you put those pieces together through ideas, feelings and hunches.

You will find that the answers will come easier if you learn to identify and follow your passion. Figure out what makes you come alive; what makes your heart sing; what kind of difference you want to make in this world. In essence, discover which way your heart draws you and choose that way with all your strength. You will find that will help keep you on the right path. Use your passion as your compass.

Even after they have found their passion, most people don’t follow their hearts because they lack the belief that they can accomplish great things. Their logical minds can’t see a solution, a way to get where they want to go. As a result they give up way too soon.

I want you to remember this: Just because you can’t see a way to accomplish your goal, doesn’t mean a way doesn’t exist.

It just means you can’t see it yet. All you have to do is figure out what small step you can take today that is aligned with your passion. And then take that step. After you take that step you will then be able to ‘see’ a little farther. Then take your next step… and then your next.

As long as you are using your passion as your compass, you can only fail if you give up. Yes, there will be fears, doubts and obstacles, which is why so few people ever get there. I don’t want this to happen to you.

Any time you feel stuck, just keep asking those questions: “How can I live an extraordinary life? What do I have to understand to make this happen? How do I express more of my ‘Higher Self’ every day?”

The answers will come, I promise. Keep taking those smalls steps in the direction of your dreams. And one day, you will find that you are living an extraordinary life. The life you were meant to live.

  1. Ron… great advice and so inspiring! So proud of you that you have found your passion and so happy that you don’t follow your “logical mind”. I know you will accomplish great things! I have read your book and expressed my thoughts on Amazon. But I will also say it here… your struggle in finding your way & passion is a credit to us. “Fanning the Embers” is extraordinary, I enjoyed it very much. It’s a great tool because I believe everyone can find themselves somewhere in the book, and you show them just how to persevere, writing from true experience not withholding anything. Great article Ron, thanks for sharing your journey and I look forward for even more to come!

    1. Sue – Thank you so much for your kind words.I am also glad that you enjoyed my book. I know you will accomplish great things also. After all, it is your birthright 🙂

  2. Ron, thanks for sharing. As a mom of 3 children, I like that you are helping at-risk students find a path to success. In today’s world we hear of violence in schools which I feel could have been prevented. I hope a lot of students will read and share your book. And we can all look forward to a great future for ALL our children. You’re God sent. Thank you.

    1. I appreciate those comments Charlene. The fact that you visit a site such as “Inspire Me Today”, tells me a lot about your focus on the positive; which tells me you must be a great influence on those 3 children of yours. Best wishes.

  3. I have a question for anyone who reads this article: “If you are not on a path that leads to an extraordinary life; what do you feel is your biggest obstacle to getting there?” I would like to hear your thoughts.

  4. This man – and this article – is well worth paying attention to. Yeah, I’d brag and speak of how I know Ron personally but I really can’t. Seems several others have beat me to the punch on noting his wisdom —and they’re all people who don’t know him. I’ve read Ron’s book, heard him speak and talk with him frequently. In fact, he encouraged me to pursue something I didn’t think I had in me….but I did it and so far a happy ending is in sight…Thanks Ron!

    1. Thanks for your comments, Nancy. They are greatly appreciated. I knew you had it in you all along. In fact, there is a lot more there. Keep dreaming big!
