Trust yourself. Trust your heart’s desires. No matter what you have learned in school, through family, friends, or society, if it doesn’t feel right for you, it’s not your path. There is no right/wrong, good/bad about any one path compared to another. However there is a purposeful path, one that is aligned with your soul.

To be successful, attract abundance and truly be happy in life, you have to honor yourself by trusting your soul’s message and acting on it.

People wonder why they struggle to attract success and abundance; usually it’s because they aren’t listening to the messages speaking to their heart. You cannot receive the true riches of life when you are living life out of integrity with what your heart truly desires.

How do you know if a message is from your heart and soul? Simple. When a thought, an idea, or a dream truly makes you feel good, then you know. Joy is your soul’s way of letting you know you are on purpose.

No matter what anyone else around you may say, believe or think about your choices, if it makes you happy, that’s your passion and you have to trust that as your direction.

Nobody else lives inside your heart so you must learn to trust the teacher within. Developing an intimate relationship with your inner teacher is how trust develops and deepens, just like any other relationship in life.

You may seem weird, unusual, or even crazy to other people when you trot along your true path. That’s okay. In fact, that’s really cool! Who wants to live life being status quo anyway? Let go of what other people think because you know what? They feel the same way. The only difference between you and them is they have bought into society’s belief of listening to an outer authority. When people who conform watch others living life on their terms, it makes them uncomfortable because deep inside, they want to do the same thing. The thing that stops them is fear so instead they judge.

When you try to fit in the box, carrying out society’s expectations of what you should be doing with your life, you suffocate yourself. This is why everyone seems so angry, crazy and sad.

We are creators. We did not come here to fit into a box and recreate what others have set up for us to follow. That was never and will never be the intention of the soul.

As you trust your inner teacher, the Universe will line up all things to show you are living in truth…your truth. It’s going to bring you all of the evidence and support necessary to fulfill your desires. When you are in alignment with YOU, the Universe reflects back to you that alignment.

Believe you can do and accomplish whatever it is that you dream. You will inspire those around you to trust within themselves and follow their own heart and soul just by being you. And what can be better than that?!

  1. It’s nice to hear that this resonates with you all. For me, it took a long time to realize the truth in this, but once I did, it changed everything for me. Funny that I had to learn it by watching and learning from teenagers but we can learn a lot by observing kids.

  2. Thank you so much for your wonderful thoughts. I grew up as an adult child of an alcoholic, and have always struggled with my inner trust, or gut. I have been working on this with my therapist, but it was great to see an article from someone that I will heal! Thank you!

    1. Hi Dawn! As you continue to release the emotions and beliefs that were projected onto you as a child, through your own spiritual practice, whatever that may be that feels right for you, you will find that your connection to the deepest part of you, your core, your true self, will begin to shine brighter and brighter. As you give this inner part of you permission to feel and heal, your intuition will strengthen. You will have created the greatest relationship ever–a true relationship with your inner-most self. Many Blessings!

  4. It’s so obviously true but is rarely done. Thank you the inspiration, it’s something that I already knew by Instinct but hard to break down that barrier. Why is being happy nowadays so hard????
I’m actually going through a very similar situation……

    1. Hi Jessica! It’s all about the programming we’ve been conditioned to from the outside world. Although parents, teachers, authority, etc. were doing the best they knew to, they projected their limiting beliefs onto us as children. This in turn trained us to look outside of ourselves for validation and happiness. One can never get it done this way. If you search outside of yourself for circumstances and things to create your happiness, it will continue to be a struggle. Begin a practice of getting in connection with that deep part of yourself, your inner being. Talk to it, play with it, allow it to express it’s hurts, doubts and fears. Just as you would be there for a small child going through pain, do this for your inner most self. Journaling and mediation, along with visualization will help you to achieve this. You will find that as you develop a stronger relationship with yourself, things will get easier and you begin to see that you and only you, are in control of your happiness. Many Blessings!
