Turning Your Potential Into Success

Topics: , ,

If I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I'd want to pass along to others...

  • Success is realized when you are able to balance everything, family, friends, career and extracurricular activities, etc. When those around you are satisfied, when those around you are inspired, that is where true success will find you. What is business success if you have no one to share it with and are able to enjoy it?

Never consider yourself a success if those around you are not successful or inspired by your passion for what you do or have achieved. Think of it as, “The sum is greater than the whole of its parts.” The ability to make all things work in conjunction with one another is the ultimate challenge and goal… but the best pay-off, ever.

After having an in-depth conversation with a few friends, I realized that I had more potential than I could imagine! It’s funny, as you go about life and accomplish certain things you tend to forget how blessed you truly are. Never once did I think that I could not be good at something. But never did I think that I could possibly waste a few blessings along the way.

My friends and I spoke about what happens to a person when he or she gets bored. Bored with life, school, marriage, jobs, etc. It seems as we looked back and thought about things that were near and dear to us. We might have had opportunities we had taken for granted.

Have you ever been so good at something that you never thought to challenge yourself to further greatness? Have you missed the opportunity to put some spark into your relationship or marriage? Too smart to attempt to challenge yourself that you just waited for the rest of the class to catch up while you got distracted by things that did not need your attention?

How much further would we be in life, had we only stuck to something and challenged ourselves to become even better?

We cannot change the past. Who we are today is because of what we did yesterday, but we can strive to be even better, tomorrow. With technology much further advanced than it has been in the past you can dream bigger than ever. There are role models and idols that are doing what some of us wish we had the confidence to do or just the discipline to apply ourselves.

Make a change today! Pick up on the passion that you once had and see where it can take you. If you believe that it is too late, then encourage our young people to do so. Let them know they can do anything they so desire if they put their minds to it. However, help them to understand that it will take faith, patience and trust to accomplish these things.

It may come easy. It may come difficult. But always challenge yourself to become better than you were the day before.

June Archer may have gotten his first exposure to the music scene behind the microphone, but he has realized his dream by successfully impacting the industry behind the scenes. As creator of New England's #1 music and entertainment showcase "HOT CHOCOLATE SOUL", June developed a platform for emerging artists in Music, Comedy & Poetry to develop their craft while entertaining the community, a platform of opportunity not afforded to him as an up-and-coming artist. Committed to giving back, he devotes a significant amount of time speaking with teens and young adults about music, but also about the importance of education. June is a staunch advocate in the fight against AIDS, as well as the race to find a cure for breast cancer. Each year, he produces the annual "JUNE ARCHER'S Celebration Of Life" charity event, the proceeds of which benefit various organizations involved in these two worthy causes. The event also recognizes community champions in the areas of education, arts, sports and entertainment. Past honorees include AIDS advocate Maria Davis and 2004 graphic design Grammy Award winner Julian Alexander (SLANG, Inc.) Among June’s most notable accomplishments have been working with MARIO, OMARION, 50 CENT, BEYONCE & Jay-Z. Most recently he has added the title and credit of Executive Producer to his name with the reality shows “The Docu-Tape” and “Behind The Unsigned. Both shows are on the Fuse music platform. With June’s combined musical talents, experience in the entertainment industry and commitment to community, he is reaching for the stars and encouraging others to join him. “No goal is ever out of reach,” June says. “Once you’ve realized your dream, that doesn’t mean you stop. It just means you dream bigger.”
