Top 10 Things I’ve Learned from Bejeweled

Recently, I learned yet another lesson from a game called Bejeweled 2. I blogged about this game some time ago, but find I'm compelled to write about it again. For me, this game is a form of meditation as it requires great focus. I play it in my spare time, like when I'm waiting at the dentist's office or at the airport. Some days that may be 15-20 minutes and sometimes life gets too busy and I won't play for days. However, I always come away from the experience with a lesson. I got a tweet right back that said, "Bark less, wag more". Within a few seconds the idea for a blog was born. I then sent this request to Twitter: Pls recommend 1 thing to do less and…

Faith vs. Fear

A few years ago I was working on an entrepreneurial project, living off savings. Some days were financially scary as I was learning to live on faith instead of fear. One day I was standing in the checkout line of my local grocery store, very aware the woman in front of me was taking a long time to check out. Although I had no pressing appointment, I became impatient and annoyed at having to wait so long.  Finally, I realized that being annoyed wasn’t doing me any good and I started to pay attention to what was unfolding before me.…
